Dynamic Twirler?

Yes, I know I'm crazy, but I agreed to let Kaeli join baton at only 3 1/2. She had been missing her friend Chloe since they no longer get to see each other in day care (both are big girls in preschool now) and so, since Chloe is a darling "twirler"...Kaeli felt like she was missing out. She couldn't stop talking about Chloe getting to twirl "ton" after she saw her in the parade last year, so what the heck...we'll try anything once right??? Today she had her first taste of what being a performer is like. Not exactly a Dynamic Twirler, but she sure looked adorable.

Our Big Girl

Well, it's official...Kaeli is growing up. This past Monday she started her first day of preschool at Greenhouse Montesorri in Visalia, how sad! We knew she wouldn't stay little forever, but do they have to grow up so fast? It was a week full of mixed emotions for both us and her. She was so excited on her first day, didn't even hesitate as we walked into the classroom. The teacher took her to the window to waive bye to me as I drove off, she was smiling so big. As the week went on her smile grew smaller and smaller and then the last two days of the week she was crying before we even made it to her class. Each day that I picked her up she said she had a lot of fun and was so excited to show me all of her works.

Nascar, Las Vegas

My dad has become quite the Nascar fan, so this year Elton thought of the perfect Christmas gift...a trip to Las Vegas for the race. Koby headed out on Wednesday February 25th, two days before Elton and Dad, with his friend Trent, his dad, and grandpa. He stayed with Trent in his trailor at the race track for a couple of days and then Elton and Dad headed their way on Friday the 27th...definately not to stay in the trailor, we all know Elton. Elton was of course not going to the race (could you imagine that), but any excuse to go to Vegas right? Koby had a blast with his grandpa on Saturday getting to enjoy Nationwide and then the big race on Sunday. They all had so much fun and when Elton came home he couldn't believe what "good friends" Koby and his grandpa were...they're just like two little kids together he said. Thanks Dad for all you do, we're glad you had a great time!

See Koby's time...he had the fastest time between 8:00 am and 1:00pm for the slot car racing! He came in 3rd for the championship at the end of the day and won a hat signed by Dale Earnhart ! Papa tried it once, but wasn't as successful as Koby.
